Produced by Chris Laney together with longtime friend and collaborator Anders Ringman, the track brings new life to Jani’s unmistakable voice while capturing the melodic rock spirit he always admired. Lane once revealed that the song he wished he had written was “Photograph” by Def Leppard, and with both producers being massive Leppard fans, they leaned into that influence to craft a sound that pays homage while keeping Jani front and center. “Bringing this demo into a fully realized track felt like giving Jani’s vision the arena-sized wings it always deserved,” says Laney. “With Anders on board, we were able to channel the exact vibe Jani loved so much, and it felt only natural to push it in that direction.” “Very Fine Line” stands as both a tribute to Jani Lane’s legacy and a glimpse of what could have been, keeping his voice alive for fans old and new.
