Five days walking through the heart of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, from Baixa Grande to Santo Amaro — around 60 km of sand, wind, and silence. Filmed entirely with the DJI Air 3S over five days of trekking, capturing sunsets, oases, and the vast solitude of northern Brazil. Almost 1 hour in this aerial journey reveals one of Brazil’s most surreal landscapes — a desert of white dunes and turquoise lagoons, shaped by seasonal rains and the constant dance of the wind. Located in the state of Maranhão, in the northeast of Brazil, the Lençóis Maranhenses cover more than 1,550 km² — a place where dunes move, lagoons appear and disappear, and time feels suspended. The Lençóis Maranhenses National Park lies along Brazil’s northern coast, near the towns of Barreirinhas, Santo Amaro, and Atins. During the rainy season (January to June), thousands of crystal-clear lagoons form between dunes as high as 40 meters. Between July and September, the park becomes a surreal mosaic of white sand and blue water, one of the most stunning natural spectacles on Earth. Best visited between May and August, when the lagoons are full and the light is pure. A visual experience through light, silence, and infinity.
