In January 2026, visual effects artist Josh Shuman stepped onto the stage at the Lakewood Cultural Center for the debut of Not Til Now™ — a live storytelling event about courage, creative risk, and doing something for the first time. This performance marked Josh’s first time sharing the story behind his own DIY documentary and the deeply personal reasons he felt compelled to make it. With nearly two decades in the visual effects industry, Josh has contributed to more than 30 film and television projects, including work on Oscar-winning films. A longtime Foo Fighters fan and passionate visual storyteller, Josh decided to step out from behind the scenes and create something of his own, proving that creative courage doesn’t require permission. Learn more about his project here: https://www.wishingwellfilm.com/ Not Til Now is a Colorado-based live storytelling event featuring first-time speakers, first-time stand-up comedians, and bold creative performances.
