In this video, I am going to talk about Ryzen’s pursuits to overtake intel for creative professionals by taking a look at the latest Ryzen 7 4800H to see if the benchmarks and tests can beat out Intel for designers, photographers, and video editors. ► Asus TUF A15 CUK - https://bit.ly/CUKAsusTUFa15 ► Asus TUF A15 on Amazon - https://geni.us/TUFa15-cuk (Commission Earned) Ryzen coming onto the scene for laptops in 2017 Ryzen making a crack at the budget builds Ryzen launching their 4000 series to take a serious swing at Intel Ryzen setting themselves up to take over intel (this year) Improved 7nm processors High core counts Matched clock speeds Benchmarks On the benchmarks, Ryzen is winning in single-core and multi-core. But the one area they are still unable to gain traction is Premiere Pro Which for video editors like me this is a HUGE deal. Due to Intel’s quick sync feature, Intel will still hold the crown this year for the best CPUs while using Premiere Pro. In Davinci Resolve, however, Ryzen is producing great export times do to the support from the GPU that Resolve capitalizes on. But what about battery life? Well doesn’t Ryzen produce batter power consumption? In their lower-performing chips we are seeing great battery life, but since the i7-9750H (and even the i7-10750H) and the Ryzen 7 4800H are 45Wh CPUs were are going to see very similar battery lives, all depending on the size of the battery in the laptop of course. SO when it comes down to it, is Ryzen better for creative professionals? I can say for certain that they have caught up, and in a VERY short period of time. So currently, they have not taken over, but I wager that they have officially set themselves up for a take over in the next 18 - 24 months. So am I switching to Ryzen? Well, I will share a little secret with you. I am building my very own PC for video editing, and the series is coming out soon. So you will have to find out what processor I choose for my build. ----- DISCLAIMER: ALL LINKS IN DESCRIPTION ARE AFFILIATE LINKS Thanks for Supporting Our Channel!
