Over the last 28 days give or take a few days due to illness, I challenged myself to try 28 different self-care activities. Some were relaxing, some were surprisingly fun, and a few reminded me how much we overlook the small moments in our day that can truly nurture us. Today’s self-care activity is really being in tuned with what my body needs today. Do I need more quiet time? Do I need more breaks? Do I need more rest? Do I need to adjust my diet? Do I need to move more? During this challenge I tried simple things like: • Journaling • Spiritual reflection • Enjoying tea mindfully • Getting a haircut and treating it like a spa moment • Puzzles, crafting and creative play • Taking intentional breaks • And even small things like preparing healthy snacks or stepping outside for fresh air. One of the biggest lessons I learned is that self-care doesn’t have to be expensive, time-consuming, or complicated. None of these activities were complicated… but they were intentional. Most of the best moments were simple things I was already doing — I just slowed down and allowed myself to enjoy them. After sharing this self-care challenge with you, hopefully are inspired to start creating or continuing your own self-care routine. Remember, Selfish is not selfish. You deserve taking care of yourself. If you're trying to build a healthier self-care routine, start small 🌿 I shared several simple ideas in this video that you can try today — journaling, mindful tea, crafting, or even just sitting quietly for a few minutes. The goal isn't perfection… it's intentional moments for yourself. I encourage you to try something simple this week. You do not need to do 28 different activities like I did. Just start with one. • Enjoy a quiet cup of tea • Write a page in a journal • Take a peaceful walk • Do a puzzle or craft • Read a few pages of a book • Light a candle and sit in silence These little moments matter more than you think.
