Located deep within the Yosemite wilderness boasting views of Half Dome, Illilouette Falls, and so much more, PANORAMA POINT is a hike you'll appreciate and remember for a lifetime! ✨✨ This was also the last hike (solo) I did on my Yosemite trip that allowed me to really get in touch with the beautiful California mountain wilderness, and it also allowed me to get in touch with myself as a person... The trailhead starts at the Glacier Point parking lot 🅿️ and snakes it's way down the side of the mountain through a series of switchbacks. Beware because what goes down ↘️ must eventually go back up ↗️ so you'll have a serious uphill battle on your way back 😐. Also, be sure to look down while hiking because YOU WILL ENCOUNTER DONKEY/HORSE POOP 🐴💩 along the trail... ⚠️⚠️⚠️ I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using the ALLTRAILS app as that was the ONLY WAY I was able to get to the actual 'Panorama Point.' The trail itself DOES NOT LEAD HERE... (Atleast not the area where I'm standing). FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS❓❔❓ Can u hike to the bottom of Illilouette Falls? Absolutely not... Is there a way to get a better view of Illilouette Falls? Absolutely not... Unless you have a drone which is illegal in National Parks How far in the trail is the viewpoint to Illilouette Falls? 2 miles into the trail. Can I charter a donkey/horseback ride down the trail?
