If you like fishing and hunting videos, check out our new channel @ArrestCamFW While in Florida state waters, licensed anglers are currently allowed to keep 5 mangrove snappers with a minimum length of 10", giving this group a total bag limit of 20 mangrove snappers. Fishing regulations are often complicated, especially to new anglers. If you're fishing in Florida, you should always check FWC's website and/or the app being referenced by the officers in the video before going out. If you're unsure what the fish is or the regulations on a fish, your safest bet is to take a picture and release the fish. The app can be found at https://fishrulesapp.com/ (not sponsored). On July 21, 2024, an officer with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office was doing a routine resource inspections when he made contact with 4 individuals leaving a bridge in the Florida Keys. Upon inspecting their cooler, he discovered they were in possession of 39 mangrove snapper, 19 over the legal limit. In the end, all 4 were issued notices to appear for misdemeanor charges. According to court records, the state attorney recognized their attempts to do a Google search for the fish and 3 of the suspects were ordered to complete an FFWL course and each had to pay $313 in total costs. Alain, the 26 year old male, is currently represented by an attorney and his case is still ongoing. If you like this video and want to see more like it, subscribe to Arrest Cam.
