The SWL DXing news report (episode 10): AM radio in cars, XHDATA travel contest, new VOA frequency

Welcome to episode 10 of my series, The SWL DXing news report. In this podcast I talk about radio-related news, frequency changes, new stations, closures and anything else that might interest DXers and radio listeners. This programme is presented as a video podcast, so you can just sit back and listen, or enjoy the visuals in the video if you want to look at images while you are listening. In this episode you will hear about MW (or AM) radio being mandated for cars in the United States, some station closures in the US and Portugal, a beloved MW station in San Antonio, Texas, going silent, SW frequency news, rumours that LW in Mongolia is coming to an end, radio training in South Africa and XHDATA offering an all-inclusive tour to China. I also share a reception report from a listener in Tennessee, and end with the HF propagation forecast. Picture credits: Shortwave radio and AM radio by Joe Haupt, CC-BY 2.0, via Wikimedia Commons.
