I haven't played a whole lot of Kingdom Hearts, but I actually first heard this song back when I used to make Mario 64 machinimas. I heard it in someone else's video and it really stood out to me at the time. I've been considering covering it for a while now, so I thought this would be the perfect time! I've been on a big Periphery kick again lately since I got tickets to see them in May (I'm really excited!!), and you can definitely hear the influence in this arrangement. The djent breakdown/octaver solo was directly inspired by Atropos, and the chill vibey section right after was pretty much stolen from Ji. Pls don't sue lol You may have noticed I got a new guitar! I've been eyeing Mark Holcomb from Periphery's signature PRS for a few months, and I finally caved and picked it up in early March. It's looks and sounds absolutely beautiful! It actually arrived at my house the day I was due to submit this cover to March Caprice, so I quickly re-recorded all of the rhythm guitars as well as filmed and edited the entire video in just a few hours. I'm really proud of how it turned out!
