Cruise Cape Town to Walvis Bay

This was our third attempt to complete a cruise to Walvis Bay. After the first cruise was cancelled due to covid and last year, high winds delayed the departure, we still had not reached Walvis. Success, this time we made it to the coast of Namibia and docked in Walvis Bay. The weather forecast indicated some rain and to try convince ourselves that it does not rain in a desert, tried every app to get some accuracy. Well, it did not just rain, it absolutely poured resulting in flooding of the roads in Walvis and Swakopmund. Fortunately, we got to ride the camels before the heavy falls started. Although it did not allow us to visit dune 7, we were able to visit the two towns and with locals saying it hadn't rained for 3 years, pleased for them to have received such good rain. Once again a great cruise, making the most of the ship with lots of fun and laughs.
