This five-part video series aims to communicate effective strategies to anticipate and manage family conflict during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, many people find themselves socially distancing, working, or completing schooling from home with their partners, roommates, or families. As such, a lack of space and privacy can increase conflict for many households. Using the PEACE acronym - Plan, Express, Appraise, Collaborate and Energize - each video will walk you through how to utilize each strategy step-by-step. This series was produced by Concordia University’s Centre for Clinical Research in Health and graduate students from Concordia's clinical psychology program. This video focuses on the letter E, which stands for Express. Expressing your feelings during a conflict can help others understand how it is affecting you. An effective way to communicate with others is using "I-language", which shifts focus to your own experience of the conflict and away from assigning blame.
