Warning About Aquatainer Water Jugs

First off, let me say, I love my Reliance Aqua Tainer 7 gallon water jug. I have several and they are invaluable for keeping my water clean and handy when I need it. They are currently how I store my water off grid. I love their large spigots and have never had one to leak...ever! But there are a couple things you want to be aware of when using Aquatainers. Sure, they're great for water storage, but beware of these two things. First off, you always want to check inside the spigot and make sure algae hasn't begun to grow. I'm not sure if algae can grow inside the the Aqua tainer itself or if it's just in the white spigots. Regardless, you want to check! Secondly, if you're like me and haul water into your off grid cabin with the Aquatainers, you want to be careful and not let them slam down. Yes, 7 gallons of water is heavy and I had been just lifting the Reliance Aquatainers over the sides of my pickup bed and dropping them down. That worked well until one of them busted!
