Here's a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Guide on how to go to Camotes Islands, what to see, what to do. Or to be more specific, how to enjoy these beautiful islands when you get stranded for several days due to Typhoon Ada. Well, these are what we did to enjoy Camotes: Stayed at Santiago Bay Garden & Resort, which is located on the best white sand beach in the island. Rented a scooter for 500 pesos a day and explored the island. Visited the islands' natural attractions such as Lake Danao, Bukilat Cave, Paraiso Cave and many more. Discovered many heritage attractions such as Poro Church, San Isidro Church, the site in San Francisco visited during the 1521 Magellan-ElCano expedition, the beautiful old houses of Poro, and many more. Went Carenderia Crawl, and tasted the best Fish Tinola, Sinugba, Humba Bisaya and Lechon. And met the friendliest, warmest people in the Visayas!
