NS P29 (the New Bern to Morehead City, NC turn) heading east from New Bern to Morehead City on the EC-line (former Atlantic & East Carolina) with four narrow gauge GT38ACL exports heading to the state port in Morehead City. The export EMDs are heading to Ferronor in Chile on the western coast of South America. Ferronor (Empresa de Transporte Ferroviario S.A.) is a narrow gauge (metre gauge) rail network in the desert of northern Chile, primarily hauling iron ore concentrate, salt, and copper from mining operations in the area. After arriving in Morehead City, P29 pulled out 72 cars from the state port, a longer than average consist for this local turn job. On the westbound return trip, P29 picked up empty rock hoppers from Hanson Aggregates on the west side of Morehead City, totaling 87 cars heading back to New Bern.
