You can learn more about Dr. Bellevue on our website: https://www.everettclinic.com/locatio... My name is Kate Bellevue. I'm a hand, wrist, and elbow surgeon at The Everett Clinic. My background is in biomedical engineering. I worked in a biomechanics lab doing orthopedic device testing and worked very closely with orthopedic surgeons. I've found that what I was doing as an engineer didn't excite me as much as what the orthopedic surgeons were doing. So that inspired me to pursue additional training in medicine. I attended college at the University of California, Berkeley and continued my medical training at the University of California, San Francisco. I completed additional training at Duke and did a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microsurgery. I did my orthopedic residency at the University of Washington. I treat patients with a wide variety of injuries from older patients with arthritis in their hands and upper extremity to patients with traumatic injuries of all ages. As a surgeon, I treat conditions of the upper extremity with surgery, but also with non-operative interventions. My approach to patient care is to treat each patient like an individual. I think is very important to talk to the patient, listen to the patient and see what they need to and want to get back to, and work together to form a treatment plan that works for them and meets their goals. I chose to work at The Everett Clinic to be a part of a group of providers who really value patient care. And it's an honor to be a part of a group of providers who really value what the patient wants and what the patient needs and go above and beyond to achieve that.
