This heartwarming Intermezzo for bass and piano by Rheinhold Glière is an example. Written around the turn of the 20th century, this work is well-known to bassists as a reliable concert piece. For this rendition, Principal Harpist Heidi Bearcroft transcribed the accompaniment for the harp. The result is an incredibly charming pairing between two great friends, who brought their unwieldy instruments together for a socially distanced backyard collaboration.
