G-ZZEL is a historic Westland Gazelle AH.1 Helicopter that served with the British Army. She was constructed in 1972 and first flown in 1973. It saw extensive service in the British Army under its military serial XW885. It was sold to Military Helicopters Ltd in 2002 where she gained her current registration whilst been operated by Tregenna Castle Hotel Ltd. Following restoration by Falcon Aviation she received her permit to fly in 2017 and now operates for the Gazelle Squadron who are a dedicated group preserving and displaying Gazelle helicopter's. This Gazelle was used by all the different branches of the armed forces including roles like training air observation communications and scouting. Originally a design by Aerospatiale in France she was produced under licence by Westland Helicopters.
