With the transition and introduction of new propulsion technologies in our truck production, a wider variety of models will be handled at the production lines, and with our mixed model assembly concept, we handle a variety of models on the same production line. This leads to an increasing number of unique parts that need to be fed into the assembly process at the right time at the right place. Our new AI-powered robotics are uniquely simple, affordable yet surprisingly flexible, which can meet these evolving demands in site logistics. The user-friendly approach enables a safe and closer collaboration between humans and robots in our production environment. The system, called GPSS (Generic photo-based sensor system), utilizes ceiling mounted cameras, deep learning and computer vision algorithms, and very simple transport robots. The production staff can easily maintain and update the system to meet their continuously changing needs.
