A common question I get from customers who install a Grundfos SQ Pump, which has the Soft Start feature is: Why do they get a low pressure drop just before the pump kicks on? Most commonly noticed in the shower... Basically its just a setting issue between the Pressure Switch and Bladder Tank. Not every system needs this subtle adjustment, but I show you how to make the changes in this video. The result is taking the system from 99% efficient down to 95% efficient as to give the pump time enough to get up to speed. Soft start is a major benefit to prevent amp spikes, wire failure and pressure switch failure. The further the well is away from the home, the more likely you'll have a similar issue.
