One of the devotional Sanskrit compositions, 'Bhaja Govindam', is considered a seminal work of Shri Adi Shankara. It has been customary to render the Stotram as one of the devotional items at the end of the concert by musicians. Inspired by the rendering of the veteran vocalist Voleti Venkateswarlu garu, who tuned this composition in the raag Maand, I endeavoured to present it in the same Maand. This is an excerpt from a concert organised by Visakha Music Academy on the 27th March, 2004. Listeners are requested to bear the wobbling in the recording at places due to the poor quality of the audio tape. Accompaniments: Smt.
