Right across the street from our Milford office sits one of our new favorite spots in downtown Milford, Queenie’s Curio. For our #getlocal series, Dustin and Rachel recently made their way to Penny Square in Milford to meet owner Kathryn Poole, and let her tell the story of how this new store came to be. What struck us most wasn't just the beautiful handmade work filling every corner of the (admittedly small) shop — jewelry, stained glass, original paintings, fiber arts, wood art, and more from 25 local artists — it was the intention behind all of it. Kathryn built Queenie's to help foster inclusivity, provide a permanent space for artists, and, most of all, build community. At The Parker Group, we believe in the people and places that make our communities special. Local artists, small business owners, neighbors who show up and build something from together are what makes a town feel alive.
