How to Improve Child Personal Safety - A Practical Guide for Parents and Caregivers

Children need love, care and support, and it is the responsibility of adults to fulfill these needs and keep them safe from harm and abuse. In this video, we guide you on how to teach personal safety to children and how you can be a safe adult for them. We start by discussing touching, clothing and talking rules which help children with establishing their boundaries while also respecting other people's boundaries. Afterwards, we teach them the NO-GO-TELL rule which helps them recognise, stop and report abuse. Lastly we talk about how you can be a safe adult for children and help them grow into content and confident individuals. This video was made in collaboration with Karnataka’s Department of State Educational Research and Training, and was shown in government schools on Children’s Day on 14th November 2025 in a first of its kind Mega Parents-Teachers-Meeting organized across the state.
