A true fun fact is that the SAGE EAS ENDEC had already been introduced exactly one year and a couple of months beforehand since its first installation at WVXU-FM in Cincinnati, which that station became the first ever in the nation to both implement and activate the Emergency Alert System on January 26, 1996, before the EBS/EAS transition and almost 30 years ago.
