Splitting Bees and Making Increases | Controlled Chaos....or Not

It's the time of the season to make increases and split the hives. It's always hectic the way I do it, so fasten your seatbelts and let's go for a ride!! We have several to split and this accomplishes two things for me. First, it makes increases and replaces and colonies lost from last season. Second, we prevent swarming in the hives that are doing well. So that's what we're doing and this is the first part of how I do my splits. Thanks for joining me.
