The Crew Calling All Units - April 2018 PvP Tournament - Part 2 (Perf spec)

One of the Discord servers for The Crew has organized a PvP tournament last month. 7 players showed up for it and we did a total of 19 races. Here you can see the Perf spec races that we did. Note that I didn't play The Crew PvP for many months before this and not a lot of The Crew in general, so my driving here was far from perfect. Don't watch this video if you are looking for flawless driving. Timeline: 0:00 Perf spec - Small Town Sprint 4:07 Perf spec - Daytona Beach 8:47 Perf spec - Nawlins Face-Off 13:51 Perf spec - Vegas Descent 16:52 Perf spec - Dallas Showdown The first Perf spec race was on Small Town Sprint, which I don't have a lot of experience with. Unfortunately I barely lost the draft of the top 2 before the long straight, so I could only battle for 3rd - 5th in the end. Daytona Beach, Nawlins Face-Off and Dallas Showdown are all tracks that I like a lot and that I am very familiar with, so I was able to fight for the win on all of them. On Nawlins I even had a lead at some point but surprisingly jolobolo was able to catch back up despite a significant crash at the roundabout. Vegas Descent used to be a popular track in PvP before Wild Run came out but after that it has been picked very rarely. It looks like it is now a track that is full of cuts but I am not really familiar with them, so I didn't have any chance here. In the Summit people sometimes accused me of not really being that fast and only being able to get good ranks because of crazy shortcuts and other gimmicks but I think this tournament showed the opposite. :P On straight-forward tracks like Daytona, Nawlins and Dallas I was consistently in the top 3 with jolobolo and Makez0 and only on the more uncommon or gimmicky tracks I also lost to some of the other players because they had better knowledge of the shortcuts. Overall after 19 races I finished on a solid 3rd place with 125 points, 23 points behind rank 2 but also 39 points ahead of rank 4. The final video part will be published later this week.
