From hive to table – we finally made more cut comb honey! 🐝🍯 After years of wanting to offer more cut comb honey to our customers, we finally dove into the process using the Foundationless Comb Honey Infinity Frame from 21stBee.com. These heavily wax-coated, foundationless frames feature built-in starter wedges and three support bars, making them perfect for natural comb drawing and cutting uniform 4″ comb sections. In this video, we walk you through the entire harvest: Installing and drawing natural comb in Infinity Frames Cutting the comb with a Pierce Electric Comb Cutting Knife (now part of Mann Lake) Processing and collecting comb in our Maxant Mutt Uncapping Tank from Maxant Industries It was a long (and sticky!) process, but the results were worth it. The bees decided their own cell size, and we now have gorgeous cut comb honey available locally. We don’t ship cut comb honey, but if you’re nearby, you might just find some at our next market! 💡 If you enjoyed our viral Mason Jar Comb Honey video, we think you’ll love seeing how we made this batch too! • Mason Jar Comb Honey | #beekeeping 0:00 Intro 0:50 What's in the box? It's important to remember that beekeeping practices may vary based on the local environment, and the videos on the Bohemia Apiary channel showcase what works for Jason's bee colonies specifically, rather than providing universal guidelines. While the concepts discussed in the videos are generally endorsed by many beekeepers, it's also crucial to listen, observe, and learn from your own bees and other beekeeping resources. As Jason himself says, "Beekeeping is more than a hobby; it's an obsession." Thank you for supporting our channel! Feel free to leave comments, as we'll address them.
