In this episode we continue our look at the outcomes of Simon’s dissertation research as we discuss the passage of the London Passenger Transport Act. Following on from the passage of the Railway Act 1921 the London Passenger Transport Act 1933 would be the next major step on the road to full nationalisation of the railways in 1948. Part of the research for this episode stems from an essay written by Simon in pursuit of his MA in Railway Studies from the University of York, so an acknowledgement of the support from Dr David Turner in writing that essay is also due.
