Samanak: A Dessert with just two ingredients. Samanak recipe. This is Samanak food or dessert. Traditionally made from during Noruz, early spring season; from Kashmir and India to Russia. From Mangolia to Iraq. With its thousand years history, every nation, depending of their geography, has found their unique version of cooking. This version is most common in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Kashmir, Tajikistan, Ozbekistan and Kurdistan. The preparation take from 7 to 10 days; and cooking time is about 7 to 10 hours, depending on the amount Samanak cooked, the opening of the pot, and fire intensity. The final cooked food/dessert is a seasonal, energetic, healthy and sweet (even though NOT a gram of sugar or sweeteners is added). Again it is made of wheat, flour, water, and fire.
