EurOUT is the premier conference for LGBT students and alumni from top European business schools. In this video, EurOUT 2013 keynote speakers and panelists reflect on authenticity in the workplace. They encourage LGBT students and professionals to be true to themselves, take stock of the state of diversity and inclusion efforts in the corporate world and call for employers to fully embrace diversity to achieve their employees' full potential. Speakers include: • Claudia Brind-Woody (Vice President and Managing Director for Global Intellectual Property and Advanced Technology Licensing at IBM and Co-chair of the IBM Executive LGBT Taskforce) urges business leaders to look at diversity as a team sport -- the best teams are the ones that has complementary skill sets and strengths in all different positions. • Matthew Krentz (Senior Partner and Managing Director of BCG's Chicago office and Head of BCG's Global People Team) shares the perspective of a straight ally and notes how important it is for senior managers to truly engage with diversity networks, which are important for talent sourcing and business development. • Marianne Röling (Managing Director for the Operator and Hosting Channel businesses in Central and Eastern Europe, Microsoft) reflects on how difficult it is to be an authentic leader while hiding a part of oneself and discusses how coming out at work has made her a better manager. • Brian Rolfes (Partner and Head of Global Recruiting, McKinsey, founder and current global leader of GLAM -- GLBT at McKinsey) stresses the importance of diversity of thought in delivering top quality work product. The video also includes insights from: Tim Ehinger (Managing Counsel, Europe, Middle East and Africa, American Express), Ben Hawley (Global Human Resources Portfolio Manager, Unilever, and founding members and Head of the UK & Ireland LGBT network), Sadiq Gillani (Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, Lufthansa Group), Kathryn Nawrockyi (Director of Opportunity Now, Business in the Community) and Professor Randall Peterson (Business School).
