Aaaand here we go, another trio of sped-up fanmade phobias... Took me long enough to actually put that together lol, weeks have been quite busy lately. The thumbnail art has been rushed and i had fun adding lil comments in the vid, so there you have it. detailed part for anyone who reads further: As most of you may know, this video is inspired by the echoes of a tumblr post mentioning how the phobia tracks in OMORI’s OST, when sped up by 400% (the post mentioned 700% but this gives a different result than what was shared), get from ominous soundscapes to fast-paced bangers (this hints at the possibility that Jami Lynne, the producer of these tracks, actually made them at a faster speed, then slowed them down, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed so it’s just an hypothesis). Here's a video showcasing how the tracks sound 5x faster: • OMORI - All "Phobia" Themes Played At 400%... Just starting with a small explanation on the small controversy between 400% and 500%: we can find mentions of both when talking about the sped-up versions. So, which is right? The confusion comes from the fact that it depends whether we’re talking about “how much it has been sped up” or “how fast it is compared to the initial speed”. 5x faster means the track is at 500% of its initial speed, BUT that also means it has been sped up by 400% (the amount Audacity displays as the “modification percentage”, next to the speed multiplier which is 5 in this case). With that said, I’m unsure from where "700%" comes from, because it’s neither the amount of speeding up nor the relative speed… I might update this section if I find a possible reason. (by the way, to make it clear, each of my fanmade phobias use samples of the original phobia themes by Jami Lynne) For these fanmade tracks, I based myself on official ones, then modified them using audio effects, automation, added other instruments to complete the ambience, etc. Looking back at them, they were great exercises to practice music production, despite all the imperfections that still bother me to this day :,) Approximative timestamps: 0:00 Somniphobia 0:28 Chronophobia 0:56 Plakidiophobia What the phobias are about: Mycophobia is the fear of mold Hyperoophobia is the fear of attics Bathophobia is the fear of depths Places on the Internet where I also share stuff (sometimes): / tespheract1 / user-224631825 https://www.deviantart.com/tespheract
