My Ariel Rider Grizzly's rear motor failed on a ride over one weekend while riding with a group of people. It was displaying an error code 08H which means hal sensor communication issue. I was able to still use my front motor luckily to ride it back to my car. In this video I go over how to replace your hall sensors if they go bad. You can look up other videos on how to test a hall sensor but the basics are is when they are energized the signal leg will put out 0 or 5 volts depending on the magnets position. I also go over how to grease your Nylon planetary gears, and what grease to use. (Works on metal also.)
