We are going back to August 28 1967, and the launch of Newsradio 88. it was an unusual launch because it did not happen on WCBS! There was a plan crash that took WCBS off the air! So the new all news format actually started on WCBS-FM 10, with news anchors Steve Porter, & Charles Osgood.
