I decided to play SMT3 - Nocturne for the first time. It's a very interesting old game - I never played it when it was first released, but I can definitely see its age. It's a hard game - you don't want this to be the first SMT game you play - Persona is a lot easier to get started with. With guides and grinding the game is definitely playable, though there are a few famous sections where you really need to play it smart to win, such as the Matador battle. In SMT4, there's the Minotaur boss that's also crazy. It's also a cryptic game - there aren't many cutscenes and there are lawful/chaotic/neutral paths you can take which will change the bosses you fight and the ending you obtain. This is in contrast to Persona, which has plenty (maybe too many) cutscenes that completely explain the plot. I ended up getting the true demon end and fought the special bonus boss at the end of the game. I will say, especially to those who also want to play this title, is that this is probably one of the hardest games on the PS2 console. I was thinking of all the previous PS2 games I've played, and not many can come close to this title's difficulty... Want to support our channel?
