Good morning, friends and families! We hope you are all doing well. All of the puppies are doing incredibly well, we are so grateful for their health and each of our moms as well. I had forgotten just how much Remy loves her puppies! It is precious how she shows them off to us. Robin has been sleeping a lot, her appetite is back, she's drinking a lot of water. Myra is thrilled to share the maternity ward with another mom! Remy often comes to the door of our closet and "spies" on Myra and her puppies. Both moms are comfortable with the other around theirs, but we only allow them nearby if one of us has control of the visiting mom to remove her as quickly as possible if needed. Robin isn't the type of mom to allow other dogs by her puppies, but Remy and Myra are having a lot of fun "visiting" each other. We will be moving Robin to the closet to have to herself, and we will bring Remy back into our bedroom since she and Myra get along so well. Drew and I are going to begin this stream and attempt to add another camera to the same stream, to create a split screen. This stream will be of Robin and Myra, and we will visit Remy as well. Fingers crossed the split screen works! We are trying to figure out the logistics of streaming 4 litters at the same time. ;) We added a forum to our website. It is still for Channel Members and Families, however the content within is still viewable to non-members. We are hoping this will help provide a place for non-channel members/families to check for updates or information related to the livestream. We invite the families and friends of our puppies 'into' our home to watch their puppy thrive and grow. You are viewing some of our current Cavalier puppies. We perform all of their care on the livestream for families to see and be part of, including vaccinations, weight checks, dewormings, socialization, and so much more. We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with a proactive approach that places an emphasis on their psychosocial development. We have raised many puppies for the distinct purpose for becoming Emotional Support Animals. This breed of dog has a temperament that is ripe for therapeutic bonding, so we nurture those characteristics to help bring them out and optimize them further. We potty train our puppies using pine pellets designed for rehydration. The timing is important because as they get older, they crawl away from their nest to potty and poop - so we want them to go to the pellets! Using this method, our puppies typically understand where to go potty within about a week of practice, and they use the potty tray on their own without guidance within about two weeks of practice. By about 6-7 weeks old, they begin waking during the night to use the potty tray rather than wet themselves in their sleep (much like human babies!). Our young puppies are kept in our master bedroom for 24-hour observation and care. We leave the audio on so that viewers are able to hear the puppies' vocalizations, but that means you may overhear some personal interactions. We prefer this format because we are able to easily provide context or clarity to viewers if necessary. We show you how we potty train our puppies starting as early as a week old, and how we nurture their training throughout their 8 weeks with us to hand off a well-trained puppy to their family.
