Should organizations have to justify the ROI of employee happiness? When you think about it, most of us spend the majority of our entire lives working. So, it just seems natural to me that we should be happy and engaged when we get to work. But a lot of organizations are not investing in employee happiness, well-being and health, education and engagement programs. But a lot of organizations also are not able to show a direct “dollar and cents” benefit at the end of the day. I always ask the organizations I speak with if they can show the ROI of an open office space or free food at work or creating an amazing place for employees to work. I have yet to meet an organization that can do that. But the question is should they even have to do that? Does it even make sense? I don’t think it does and this Future In 5 episode I share why. So, listen in and give me your opinion on whether organizations should have to justify their investment in employee happiness or is it a given! ----------------------- ABOUT THE FUTURE IN FIVE The Future in Five is a regular video series where best-selling author, speaker, and futurist Jacob Morgan shares his ideas, insights, and commentary around the future of work in five minutes or less!
