Tuen Mun Park is a large-scale park in Hong Kong. It is located in Tuen Mun District, New Territories. It covers an area of about 12.5 hectares and is the largest and most important park in the district. Tuen Mun Park, formerly known as Tuen Mun Town Park, is the Central Park of Tuen Mun New Town and the first large-scale park in the New Territories to provide a variety of recreational facilities. The entire park was built on the reclaimed land of Castle Peak Bay and was divided into two phases. The first phase was opened on August 29, 1985, and the second phase was opened on January 2, 1991. More than 2,000 trees and 100,000 shrubs are planted in the garden, with about 200 different varieties. There is also an artificial lake in the park, covering an area of about 1 hectare; and the reptile house in the south of the park is another attraction. Other facilities in the park include artificial waterfalls, model boat pools, amphitheaters, roller skating rinks, children's playgrounds, fast food kiosks and multi-purpose courts. Hou Kok Tin Hau Temple, also known as Kou Kok Tin Hau Temple, is located on Tin Hau Road, Tuen Mun Old Market, Hong Kong. The temple was built in the early Ming Dynasty (1368) for the Tao clan who operated the salt industry. In the Qing Dynasty, the villagers and Zhongyi Hall members in the area raised funds to rebuild it many times. At present, there is still a bronze bell cast in the 36th year of Kangxi (1697 AD) in the temple, which was presented to the people from Zhejiang at that time. It can be seen that the importance of Tuen Mun Port to Waihai Road at that time. This laid back walk tour at Tuen Mun which filmed in July 2022.
