Renault’s sub-brand Dacia unveiled the three-row Bigster in Europe late last year and it has been caught testing in India for the first time fully camouflaged. While the next-gen Duster midsize SUV is being prepared to launch in India, the arrival of its seven-seater counterpart is also inevitable. The former has already been teased in India and spied on test too. Nissan will introduce a compact B-segment MPV later this FY before the debut of a midsize five-seater SUV based on the Duster and its seven-seater sibling. Thus, it is safe to assume that the Bigster for either brand is still some time away – launch possible in late 2026 or 2027. It is no secret that the forthcoming Renault Bigster will have a lot in common with the new Duster. However, the differences between them will be significant too, both inside and out. The Bigster leans into its size advantage with larger dimensions translating into a noticeably more planted stance. Key exterior details include a Y-shaped daytime running light layout and a two-tone finish with a contrasting black roof. Recycled ‘Starkle’ polypropylene – sourced from post-industrial waste – features across the side cladding, lower bumpers and wheel arches contributing both to durability and Dacia’s sustainability push.
