In this English pronunciation lesson we study how to pronounce the TH in English. It is an important sound and is the same in British English and American English. There are actually TWO ways to pronounce the TH sound in English. One way is a VOICED consonant and the other is an UNVOICED consonant. Using the IPA phonemes the VOICED sound is /ð/ and the UNVOICED sound is /θ/. These two are difficult consonants and very important if you want to have good English pronunciation. In this video we look at how to make the UNVOICED TH sound and practice some example words to help you.
