We then give a summary of the treatment of members subjected to axial loads carried out. Although the treatment of members subjected to axial loads can be considered quite less involved compared to treatment related to torque and moment, salient features remain the same. Hence this session is about bridging the gap. We discuss the issues we will be looking at when dealing with torque and moment which are similar to the way members subjected to axial loads are treated.
