Seaton Delaval Hall & Blyth South Beach by AJS Model 8

Snow and ice prevented us from going out since our last venture on 28th December last year. I've been getting stir-crazy so was glad to go anywhere for the first time in 2026. The camera angle and sound are not ideal but, looking on the bright side, there are good views of the January sky shortly after 0900 to compensate for any loss of view of the ground. I'm not sure what was responsible for the sound, mainly my chunterings, being quieter than expected, I'll try moving the microphone up a bit for next time. I wasn't sure where to go but settled on heading towards Blyth South Beach. It occurred to me as we were approaching the coast, that I've passed by Delaval Hall many times but never photographed it, so that's where we went next. There is a brief view of the hall in the video. It's an 18th century building which belonged to Admiral George Delaval (and various other family members) but I think it is being renovated by the National Trust these days. In all, we went via Klondyke, High Pit, Newsham, Blyth South Beach, Seaton Sluice and Seaton Delaval. About eleven and a half miles in total. It was bright and breezy, about 7C.
