Lupercalia! Lupercalia! Luper... Cali... A! I thought this was the first Sadistik Exekution cover online. (Update: false statement, apparently there was a cover of some Posessed Haemorrhage riffs, and more recently there was a complete one of Fukking Death!) I learned this song by ear, and to state the obvious, the production is of low quality, and the guitar work is very raw, which is all perfect of course! It just took me longer than I expected to learn it, the guitar work is very technical, while staying raw. I think some of the guys from Sadistik Exekution dislike The Magus (1988) when compared to their later releases, but I am in love with this album. I always hear that Blasphemy mastered this kind of bestial death metal first, and then Beherit was another one that followed, but Sadistik Exekution did it better and earlier than both of those bands, The Magus was recorded in early 1988, and composed in 1986! Too bad it wasn't released until 1991. This is one of the best death metal bands that ever cursed my ears with its existence. They scream. Hail Sadistik Exekution.
