The SIERRA Study is a phase 3b clinical trial that evaluates tremelimumab and durvalumab in hepatocellular carcinoma patients with adverse prognostic features. It aims to determine the safety and efficacy of the regimen in populations often excluded from trials. Initial results show a 19.1% rate of significant adverse events, but treatment discontinuation and mortality rates remain low, indicating a reasonable safety profile. Future research will focus on efficacy and quality of life.
