Speaker 1: Today we'll be having a look at the BoatBuckle line of heavy-duty ratchet transom tie-down straps. Here's what our strap looks like installed. Now the reason you're going to want a strap like this is because not only will this secure your boat to your trailer, which in some places it is required by law to have a transom strap, but this will also keep the boat from bouncing up and down on the trailer as you're going down the road, which could cause damage to the bottom of the hole.Now what sets this strap apart from others on the market is because of a couple unique features. We have an easy to use ratcheting mechanism, and then behind it on the back, we have this webbing right here, which acts as a way to protect the boat from the metal of the ratchet mechanism. This will prevent any scratching or marring from occurring. We also have a rubber coating over our hooks for the same purpose, this will prevent scratching and marring, and we don't have to worry about damaging our boat.Now the webbing of our strap is made of a polyester material, which is weather-resistant, but yet still very flexible. Now all the metal components on our strap have a zinc coating on them to help make them corrosion-resistant, making them ideal for marine applications and even limited exposure to salt water.These straps feature an 833 pound working load limit and a 2,500 pound break limit per strap. Our strap features webbing that is about two inches in width, and this particular one has a working span of two feet. The span is the area where you can actually ratchet it down from your hook and retract the strap up into it. We also have straps that are four feet long and six feet long. Now these straps are super easy to use compared to other ones on the market because of our easy to use ratcheting mechanism. We already have it nice and tight, but when we want to release the tension it's a simple process. We just lift up on this lever here, push back down, and we can easily unhook it. To get the tension back, just pull your strap back down, take the ratchet mechanism, and ratchet it tight, and then close it. You want to make sure you secure up your excess strap as appropriately as possible. And this particular application since it's not dragging on the ground will be okay as-is.Now that we've gone over some features, we'll show you how to install them. We'll begin by locating the transom tie-down attachment point on our boat which is right here. We'll take the end that has our ratchet mechanism and we'll attach it to that using the hook. We'll now take our other end with the loose strap and we'll go to the attachment point on our trailer with the hook. We'll now feed the end of the strap through the ratchet mechanism, pull it tight, and begin to ratchet it to secure the strap. Once we have it sufficiently tight, we'll repeat the same process for the other side.And that completes our look at the BoatBuckle line of heavy-duty ratchet transom tie-down straps..
