To keep track of my progress, I've been sharing all of my pours in the order they were created. The reason this canvas already had some paint on it is that I had tried to create chameleon cells, but A. My phone ran out of storage and only captured the first seven minutes, and B. The result wasn't satisfactory, so I wiped the canvas clean to reuse it. However, I forgot to clean off the silicone oil before pouring again, but that's alright; I just need to remember to clean it before applying the varnish. Anyway, my goal for this pour was to determine if I could create cells without using any white, water, or cell activator. Interestingly, they only showed up when I swiped through the other colors with the dark purple. Not exactly sure why. Maybe because that color was Liquitex? I’ll need to experiment with this technique again in the future. 9x12” Liquitex dioxane purple, Artist Loft light violet, light magenta, quinacridone magenta and aqua green.
