Applying UltraScape PremJoint is a pretty straightforward process, it can be used by domestic home owners as well as more experienced paving and landscaping contractors. This superior brush-in paving & patio grout fills joint widths from 3-20mm. Use in all weathers and one tub typically covers 8-9.5 sqm! Select your choice of colour below – choose from Cosmic Black, Storm Grey, Pebble Grey & Natural Cashmere. Here's a detailed step-by-step guide to assist you: Materials Needed: UltraScape PremJoint compound Clean water supply Stiff brush or broom Soft brush for finishing Appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, safety glasses) Preparation: Weather Conditions: UltraScape PremJoint is designed for all-weather application and is resistant to freeze/thaw conditions. Paving Installation: Ensure that the paving slabs are correctly laid on a suitable bedding material with proper falls for drainage. Joint Specifications: Joints should be a minimum of 3mm wide and 20mm deep. Deeper joints will enhance the strength of the jointing compound. Application Steps: 1. Saturate the Area: Thoroughly wet the paving surface with clean water. This helps prevent the compound from adhering to the surface and facilitates easier application. 2. Apply the Compound: Open the PremJoint container and pour the compound directly onto the wet paving. 3. Using a stiff brush or broom, sweep the compound into the joints, ensuring they are completely filled. 4. Continue to add more compound and repeat the process as needed to cover the entire area. 5. Compact the Joints: After filling, use the brush to compact the material into the joints. This ensures there are no air gaps and the joints are densely packed. 6. Remove Excess Material: Once the joints are filled and compacted, sweep off any excess compound from the surface using a soft brush. 7. It's crucial to remove all surplus material to prevent staining or hardening on the paving surface. 8. Final Rinsing: Lightly mist the area with water to aid the curing process. 9. Avoid over-saturating, as excessive water can wash out the compound from the joints. 10. Curing Time: Under optimal conditions (20°C and 65% relative humidity), PremJoint will firm up sufficiently to accommodate foot traffic within 24-48 hours. 12. PremJoint paving grout will continue to harden over the next 28 days. Please note that - Curing times may vary based on temperature, humidity, and drainage conditions. Additional Tips: Leftover Material: Any unused PremJoint can be stored and reused. Ensure the container is sealed properly to maintain the product's efficacy. Safety Precautions: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and safety glasses, during application.
