Bagpipe Procession - Lanimers 2023 - Lanark - Scotland - A Celebration 🎊

This is Lanimer Day here in Scotland when the town gathers together to celebrate a new Queen being crowned and a centuries old tradition being observed. You can find out more here - http://www.lanarklanimers.co.uk/histo... It's a day of joyful fun with plenty of bagpipes and happy faces. This is a little snippet of one of the many parts of the day's processions observed on Lanimers. I get super emotional at these events because it shows community spirit out in full force, which is always something to appreciate and enjoy. I love bagpipe bands. They're so powerful and haunting. I've left in the build up in when you can hear the pipers coming but not see them, that's always an exciting bit for me. There are some sweet exchanges between people, you get to hear the Scottish accent. Throughout the day it was lovely to see reunions happening everywhere. The townsfolk were happy to reunite and celebrate Lanimers once again. Happy Lanimers!
