In this episode of Our American Travel we WINTERIZE OR ATTEMPT TO WINTERIZE or Grand Design 2500RL. This was our first time to winterize and we probably made every mistake possible. First our bucket leaked, then we had a hot water valve wrong and then we ran out of antifreeze because we still had the valve wrong. I think we finally got it all right. WE will find out this week since it is supposed to be 1 degree outside. (Optional) Release pressure at the water heater and drain the hot water heater. Drain low point drains Drain fresh water tank. Let valve open Bypass Water heater. Blow out fresh tank fill line Blow out the city water line. (leave faucet open while connecting and disconnecting air) Blow out fresh tank gravity fill Blow out black tank flush port Switch valve to siphon into water pump. Put hose into antifreeze Turn on the water pump and run antifreeze through all faucets, toilets, spray ports and low point drains. Turn off the water pump. Clean up antifreeze and splatter. Place paper towels under each faucet to keep residual drips clean. Drain Waste tanks, close waste tanks and fresh water valves
