Ysleta ISD holds ribbon-cutting ceremony for new Bel Air MS

Ysleta ISD Trustees and administrators attended a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for Bel Air Middle School, a newly constructed campus that accommodates up to 1,200 students in grades 6-8. The approximately 119,000-square-foot, $40-million Bel Air Middle School opened its doors for the first time in Fall 2018 to students from the former Hillcrest and Ranchland Hills middle schools. The new Bel Air Middle School offers a spacious, modern learning environment that includes engaging STEM labs, state-of-the-art technology, and flexible furniture to enhance instruction. Although the new school opened in 2018, a new 13-classroom wing and STEM lab were added to the campus over the past year. Bel Air Middle School is among several new schools constructed through Ysleta ISD’s 2015 and 2019 bond program, which have been used to address aging campuses, provide additional safety and security measures, upgrade all campuses to refrigerated air-conditioning, and renovate/build new schools. -- #iamtxed #thedistrict #BealAirMiddleSchool
