South Devon Railway - Branch Line Gala 2015

Over the last few years, the South Devon Railway have hosted a 'Branch Line Gala' in the month of February, and 2015 would be no different, with the Gala taking place over the 19th - 22nd February. This year's event had a strong Western Region feel to it, with the star visitor being GWR Small Prairie No. 4566, courtesy of the Severn Valley Railway. The loco is no stranger to this part of the world, having been allocated to Newton Abbot and Plymouth Laira Depots during its working career. Also making a return to traffic was GWR 6400 Class Pannier Tank No. 6412, which was fresh from a major overhaul at Buckfastleigh. The rest of the line up consisted of GWR 1366 Class Pannier Tank 0-6-0 No. 1369, GWR 5700 Class Pannier Tank No. 5786 (Running in London Transport livery as L92), GWR 2251 Collett 0-6-0 No. 3205 and Class 121 'Bubblecar' No. W55000.
