Who is the hero in ODYSSEY? This evocative new production by Theatre of the 7 Directions turns Homer’s myth into a powerful reflection on the hero within us all. With a cast ranging from 10 to 86 years old, the play is both a Hero’s Journey and a communal rite of passage. It asks the audience to reimagine their relationship with death, parenting, leadership, and change itself. In this re-telling, it is the elders, not the children, who stand at the centre, invited to step forward, release the past, and help envision a new future. Through striking images, music, and movement, ODYSSEY guides us from blame and fear to imagination and empowerment.
